New Years Resolutions…Part 4

So….the last 3 blog posts give you some indication of the road map that I am writing with my team and all my sights for 2012.

The people who surround me are fantastic and there is no way I could achieve the things I do without the help of many, not least my wife, family and all the people that help me at the practices along with the other people who help me to improve in my exercise quests.

Together with pondering the future in 2012 and writing my New Year resolutions I also turn 40 at the start of January. This gives me even greater cause to be reflective on what has happened over the past 40 years and what may happen over the next 40, if I am given the chance to survive that long.

More and more as we have tried to create amazing practices, businesses and opportunities for all the people that work with us, people begin to think that perhaps I am a little bit mad. This has started to concern me a little bit as it was repeated more and more often to my face until I had reason to re-visit the Apple advert campaign from 1997 titled ‘think differently’

The tag line in the ‘Think differently’ campaign was – The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do. So perhaps its just that I am mad enough to think that I can make a difference.

I wish you all a happy and prosperous 2012 and look forward to meeting as many people, inside and outside dentistry, as possible.

Best Wishes

Colin
